For many children in urban areas, summer vacation means travel, enrichment classes, and a wide range of activities. However, for children in rural communities—especially those from disadvantaged, Indigenous, single-parent, or grandparent-led households—the long break may instead mean loneliness. Without school meals, guidance from teachers, or opportunities to spend time with friends, some children may have little choice but to stay home alone or wander outside. Their desire to be seen, supported, and given the chance to explore the world should not be left behind.

After learning about the children’s hopes and needs, we chose to support the “Summer Hope Camp for Children in Rural Areas,” initiated by the Love in the World Association. Together, we supported four rural schools in New Taipei City—Xinghua Elementary School, Shifen Elementary School, Shiding Elementary School, and Heping Elementary School—to create a summer filled with companionship, exploration, and opportunities to build confidence. Through group activities and life education, children are encouraged to express themselves and develop greater self-belief. What truly makes a difference is often not just a single event, but the lasting feeling of being valued, cared for, and supported.

Through this initiative, we hope to build a bridge that connects these children with a wider world. Looking ahead, we will continue to invest in social care initiatives, fulfill our corporate social responsibility, and spread positive impact throughout the community.
